Human Body Structures and Functions

Human Body Structures and Functions is a one-credit course designed to help students develop a basic knowledge of the normal structure of the human body. The course uses an integrated approach for teaching medical terminology to the health care student by incorporating medical terminology into instruction regarding human body structures and functions and the diseases process.

Prior to taking this course all students should have completed Foundations of Health Science and should be in at least the 10th grade.  Students should have a baseline knowledge of each of the body system.  During this course, the student will add to the knowledge base they would have obtained during the Foundations course.
